Cybertecture Academy 2017 came to close with an exciting grand finale presentation in the atrium of the InnoCentre, Hong Kong attend by 100 VIPs and guests. James Law, founder of Cybertecture Academy and CEO of James Law Cybertecture spoke to the audience about the philosophy of Cybertecture Academy as an institution that promotes architecture, design, technology, and innovation to young students in secondary school. Presentations on the 10 day programme and design presentations by the young participants of their design of a real South African township shack that is sustainable and improve poor people’s lives was met with applause from audience. A stellar jury comprising of renown entrepreneurs, designers, engineers, architects gave constructive comments and advice to the young participants. The evening was live linked via Skype to Cape Town, South Africa with Projekt Ubuntu who will be building the designed shacks. 2017 Cybertecture Academy is supported by partners and sponsors including Hong Kong Science and Technology Park, HKT Education, MTR Corporation, Engineers without Borders HK Chapter, Maggie’s Cancer Care Centre Hong Kong, New World Construction, T-Park amongst others.
