Spaceport America is the world’s first purpose-built, commercial spaceport, intended to be the launchpad of the global commercial spaceflight industry and the second space age. One of the New Mexico Spaceport Authority’s goals for Spaceport America describes creating a truly unique destination with an “out of this world” experience, stimulating domestic and international tourism in New Mexico.

The visitor experience will occur in several locations, and may include one or more of the following: two off-site” welcome Centers” on nearby Interstate-25 serving as transportation hubs, an on-site “Visitor Complex” with indoor/outdoor activities, transportation in between off-and on-site, an entrance/security facility to the spaceport property, and various “outposts” on-site, including a 4000 square foot gallery space within the Virgin Galactic Terminal Hangar Facility.
