Hong Kong’s 12,000 people Affordable Transitional Housing. In response to the desperate need for affordable housing for Hong Kong citizens, it is proposed that the roofs of the public piers of Central District in Hong Kong harbour be built on with stacked OPod Housing comprising of 6,000 units which can house 2-4 persons each as affordable transient housing that even has sea views and is in the heart of the city. The structure of the piers have already been built to support future commercial development on top, so they are ready for the addition of modular integrated construction such as our OPod or BoxPod to be added. Rents will be charged at below market rates and made available to means tested citizens, bringing relief to Hong Kongers who cannot afford to live in a decent home in the worlds most expensive city.
